Changing the world does not always begin with a grand gesture.
Sometimes it begins with throwing a football, building a stuffed animal, sharing a meal, or simply showing kids that someone sees them and is cheering for them.
The Be A Friend Program brings foster and kinship youth together for a memorable day of football, fun, generosity, and connection at the Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium.
Our goal is to help young people believe they can rise above the challenges they face, make a difference in the lives of others, and become world-changers in their own communities.
About Children's Toy Fund, Inc.
The Children's Toy Fund, Inc. Is a Canton, Ohio-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to bringing smiles and joy into difficult situations.
Year-round, we support hospitals, foster care agencies, and other community organizations by providing them brand-new, high-quality toys and comfort items for children and teens facing injury, illness, displacement, trauma or crisis.
Through special programs like Be A Friend, we also create opportunities for young people to experience the power of giving back.
More Than A Day on the Field
Be A Friend is designed to create lasting memories while helping foster and kinship youth recognize their own ability to bring hope to someone else.
Participants enjoy activities on the Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium field, connect with caring adults and community partners, and take part in a meaningful service project for other children experiencing hardship.

1. Step Onto the Field
We are seeking caring individuals who are willing to spend time with kids, throw a football, participate in activities, offer encouragement, and help make the day unforgettable.
You simply need to show up ready to connect, encourage, and have fun!
2. Sponsor the Movement
We are looking for businesses, foundations, and community leaders who want to help fund the 2027 Be A Friend Program.
Sponsorship support helps make the experience possible by providing activities, meals, gifts, supplies, transportation support, and other important program needs.
