About the Program
The Be A Friend Program is a unique initiative centered around recognizing and empowering children and teens within our current partner organizations. This program enables them to create a stuffed animal friend to join them on all their life adventures AND make a friend to be a friend to a child or teen in need—a simple, yet powerful, act of kindness. This hands-on experience recognizes and empowers the attendees while bringing comfort to children unable to attend the event.
The Power of Teamwork
This event is propelled by the power of collaboration. The Children's Toy Fund has a small team that can only do so much on its own. To accomplish the dream behind Be A Friend, we need multiple organizations coming together with a shared vision: showing kindness to youth and empowering them to make a difference in the world.
Working with incredible partners like Project KARE, the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Hall of Fame Village, and Build-A-Bear Workshop has made this possible. Coming together with these like-minded organizations, we are turning a single day into a lifelong memory for everyone involved.
